Welcome to The Northfall Chalet – a brand-new Northern Michigan escape created for more than simply getting away.
Tucked into five private wooded acres near Bellaire, Northfall was thoughtfully designed by the owners of Drift + Acre as a place to slow down, reconnect and enjoy the kind of moments that make an Up North trip memorable.
Start the morning with Drift + Acre coffee on the covered porch while the woods wake up around you. Spend the afternoon hiking, skiing, golfing, exploring Bellaire or heading toward the lakes. Then come home for a sauna, a seasonal outdoor rinse, dinner around the fire and a soak in the hot tub beneath the stars.
A Home Designed Around the Outdoors
Inside, Northfall blends clean Scandinavian-inspired design with warm natural materials and modern comfort.
Soaring wood-clad ceilings create a dramatic centerpiece in the open living area, while oversized windows frame the surrounding forest and fill the space with natural light. Settle in around the gas fireplace, stream a movie on the Smart TV or simply enjoy having everyone together in one beautiful, open space.
The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from a quick breakfast before a day of exploring to dinner at home with the entire group. You’ll find an electric cooktop, oven, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dinnerware and plenty of everyday essentials.
Coffee lovers are covered with both a drip coffee maker and Nespresso, along with Drift + Acre coffee to start your morning.

Two queen beds with additional space to relax.
The loft is accessed by stairs and has some lower, sloped ceiling areas that add to its cozy chalet feel while still allowing comfortable movement throughout the room.
A second full bathroom on the main floor includes a tub/shower combination.

Northfall is just as much about what happens outside as what happens inside.
Step into the private electric sauna after a day on the trails or slopes. Cool down beneath the seasonal outdoor shower. Then slip into the professionally maintained, year-round hot tub and let the woods go quiet around you.
Gather around the fire pit as evening settles in, cook dinner on the propane grill, stretch out in a hammock or simply sit beneath the covered porch and stay outside a little longer.

Northfall includes the little things that make a stay easier, including high-speed Wi-Fi, two Smart TVs, board games, books, white-noise machines, a washer and dryer, Pack ‘n Play, high chair, extra blankets, bath essentials and a well-stocked kitchen.
A large gravel parking area comfortably accommodates up to four vehicles.

Northfall gives you the privacy of a five-acre woodland retreat while keeping you close to some of the best experiences in the Bellaire area.
Explore downtown Bellaire and Short’s Brewing Company, hike or mountain bike Glacial Hills, wander the wetlands and boardwalks of Grass River Natural Area, spend a summer day on Torch Lake or head to Shanty Creek and Schuss Mountain for skiing, golf and year-round adventure.
Then come back to Northfall.
