78 North is a stylish lakefront escape on the coveted east end of Crystal Lake in Beulah, Michigan. With sandy-bottom swimming, Caribbean-blue water, a private dock, and sweeping sunset views looking west down the lake, this home was made for classic Northern Michigan summer memories.
Inside, the home is being thoughtfully finished with a fresh, comfortable lake house feel. The layout will include 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a private guest suite over the garage, a bunk room, multiple living spaces, and room to sleep up to 12 guests. It’s a great fit for families, extended families, or groups who want space to spread out while still being right on the water.
Guests will enjoy a king primary bedroom with Crystal Lake views, a bunk room with four twin beds, another king bedroom with a small workspace, and a private king suite over the garage with its own bathroom, kitchenette, living area, TV, and separate entrance. A cozy TV room with a sleeper sofa adds flexible sleeping space for up to two additional guests.
Outside, enjoy direct lake access, sandy frontage, a private dock, kayaks, paddleboards, beach chairs, a lily pad, and a hot tub with privacy fencing planned for the breezeway area. Spend your days swimming, paddling, boating, or relaxing by the water, then settle in for the kind of sunset Crystal Lake is famous for.
The location is hard to beat. 78 North is close to downtown Beulah, restaurants, coffee, ice cream, shops, the Betsie Valley Trail, and local parks. You’re also an easy drive to Frankfort, Lake Michigan beaches, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Crystal Mountain, wineries, hiking trails, and Point Betsie Lighthouse.

Paul and his lakeside place on Crystal Lake, MI was awesome. The place is beautifully designed and had more than enough room for 3 generations of my family to stay together and enjoy a peaceful time at a beautiful lake (that gets amazing sunset views). The neighborhood had everything we needed once we got there (groceries & restaurants).
Paul was an extremely proactive and responsive host. I’d stay in one of his places again, no doubt. And my family had an excellent time. No complaints at all! Thanks for the great stay. We took amazing pictures and will cherish the memories we made at Crystal Lake!
Seven of us plus three dogs came here to celebrate my dad’s 70th, and by the end of the week every single person agreed they’d absolutely come back!!
Paul is an AMAZING host. He called a week ahead just to update me on the construction and a few small unfinished items. He was upfront, thoughtful, and so invested in making sure our week was great.
The house delivered everything the photos promised. The new apartment over the garage, new bunk room, and new second bedroom are all beautiful, and the main cottage’s living and kitchen area is perfect for a large group.
The lakefront is the real star, though. Gorgeous landscaping, a brand-new dock, kayaks, paddleboards, etc. And the sunsets — unreal!!
Close to the neighbors but very quiet. More family-friendly and laid back than a party block. Downtown Beulah is walkable, and you’re perfectly situated to explore Leelanau County and the greater Traverse City area, which we loved.
